Gateway in AWS

Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers a variety of gateway services to help developers connect their on-premises infrastructure to the cloud. In this blog, we will explore some of the different gateway options available in AWS and how they can be used.

AWS Direct Connect
AWS Direct Connect is a service that allows you to establish a dedicated network connection from your on-premises data center to AWS. It uses a leased line or a cross-connect at an AWS Direct Connect location, and provides a dedicated network connection with a capacity of 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps.

Direct Connect can be used to improve the performance of your applications by reducing network latency and jitter, and by providing a more reliable connection. It can also help you reduce your networking costs by eliminating the need for internet transit.

To use Direct Connect, you will need to order a connection through the AWS Management Console or the AWS Direct Connect API. You will also need to provision an AWS Direct Connect Gateway and configure it to connect to your VPCs.
