LINQ Environment Setup

It's best to learn the intricacies of setting up a LINQ environment before diving into LINQ programming. The A.NET framework is required for LINQ, a groundbreaking platform that allows for a wide range of applications. A LINQ query can be easily built in either C# or Visual Basic.

Microsoft's Visual Studio provides tools for each of these languages, namely C# and Visual Basic. Visual Studio 2010 was used to compile and write all of our examples. Visual Basic 2013 edition, on the other hand, is also accessible for usage. It's the most recent version, and it's very similar to Visual Studio 2012.

Visual Studio can be installed via a DVD or another installation medium. To install Visual Basic 2010 successfully on your machine, you'll need administrator credentials. Before starting the installation, make sure all removable USB drives are disconnected from the PC. Otherwise, the installation may fail. The following are some of the hardware specifications that are required for installation.

System Requirements

  • 1.6 GHz or more
  • RAM: 1 GB
  • Hard disc drive with a 5400 RPM speed
  • 3 GB is the minimum need (Available hard-disk space)
  • DirectX 9 compatible video card
  • DVD-ROM drive
